Fantastic Beasties

Fantastic Beasties

Saturday 18 August 2018, 1–2pm V22 Louise House

Join children’s book illustrator Karen Wall to create your own amazing beetle, bug or butterfly in the surroundings of the Louise House Garden.
Using the garden as inspiration, let your imagination run wild ... what magical beasties could be hiding in the long grass or swooping above the tall flowers? Are they tall, tiny, crunchy or squelchy? How many eyes, wings and legs do they have? Draw a picture, write a story or build a model using paper, fabrics, paint and found materials.

Suitable for children aged 4 years and over.

Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Karen Wall is an illustrator and designer based in Sydenham. She studied printed textiles and worked as a designer before illustrating her first picture book in 2005.
