Microcosmos: Build a Bug Hotel
Saturday 5 August 2017, 2–4pm V22 Louise House
Join V22's Kerry, watching bugs and creepy crawlies close up in this stunning documentary from 1996 directed by Claude Nuridsany and Marie Pérennou, and set to the music of Bruno Coulais. While we watch these tiny insects on the big screen we will build our own bug hotels for the Louise House garden.
Bring materials to build homes for these glorious mini-beasts - and dress to get messy. Suggestions for materials include old pipes, tubes, bottles, plant pots, rope, bricks, wood and anything else you fancy.
"...an amazing film that allows us to peer deeply into the insect world and marvel at creatures we casually condemn to squishing." Roger Ebert
Suitable for ages 6 - 12 years. A maximum of 15 children can take part in the workshop.
Anyone under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.
