Isabelle Zhizhi Southwood (b. 1990) lives and works in London, UK. Southwood grew up in the Netherlands and has a mixed cultural background of dual Chinese and British heritage. She attended The Slade School of Fine Art, University College London, receiving the Grocers’ Queen’s Golden Jubilee Scholarship and the Clare Winsten Memorial Award. After graduating, Southwood co-founded Turf Projects, an artist run contemporary art space and charity in South London. Recent exhibitions include Polycephaly [I. Southwood feat. I. Southwood], Pulchri Studio, Netherlands (2018); Sake, Muddy Yard, London (2017); Tru Luv, Turf Projects, Croydon (2015); Bloomberg New Contemporaries, Spike Island, Bristol & Institute of Contemporary Arts, London (2013).
