Born 1969 in Toulouse, Caroline Achaintre lives and works in London. Achaintre is represented by Arcade in London and Galerie Art: Concept in Paris. Achaintre obtained a scholarship at the Kunstochschule in Halle, then studied at the Chelsea College of Arts and then at Goldsmiths, University of London. Recent solo exhibitions include Moco, Montpellier (2019); Belvedere 21, Vienna (2019); De La Warr Pavillion, Bexhill-on-sea (2018); Frac Champagne-Ardenne, Reims (2017); BALTIC, Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead (2016) and Tate Britain, London (2015). Her work is also in a number of public collections, including Tate Britain, London; Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, Paris; Centre national des arts plastiques, Paris and Frac Aquitaine, Bordeaux.
