ARTISTS’ SURVIVAL GUIDE: BOOK LAUNCH
Friday 25 October 2013, 7.30–10.30pm V22 F Block
There is a plethora of lore for surviving in the art world. Artists, curators, gallerists and technicians share information and tips all the time, but this oral history of survival has never really been recorded.
This handy guide does just that: compiles useful hints and tips from a range of art professionals and puts them into one book. A book that you can read through for an overall sense of how to get along, and then can be popped in your pocket and consulted whenever you need to hang a projector upside down, snag a wall, read measurements, or sweep to avoid dust.
In addition to such timeless classics, the guide has a handy directory of merchants, studio providers, bronze foundries and other useful professionals in major cities across the UK.
