ContinuumThe IMS Project
5 May to 3 August 2012 V22 F Block
The Institute for Mathematical Science (IMS), formed in 2009, explores the relationship between contemporary art and science. The project run by a group of artists and scientists, explores new frameworks for knowledge production through the realisation of events and exhibitions. Members of the group are based in the UK, France, Colombia, Mexico and the U.S.
For Continuum, IMS make an intervention in the space of V22 using materials from its last residency at Guest Projects as a starting point to present an inverted reality. Continually challenging the notions of their collective identity, IMS present a new format for their research that unfolds through their use of space.
