V22 Louise House
Open House 2017: V22 Louise House
Saturday 16 September 2017, 10am–5pm V22 Louise House
Open House London is the capital's largest annual festival of architecture and design. For Open House 2017, V22 will be opening its doors at Louise House for a day.
You are invited to to take a look inside this Grade II listed old Victorian Girls' Industrial Home. Now offering 15 artists' studios, the building has been occupied by artists and creatives since March 2014. Later this year, V22 will also be offering deskspace in one of the larger studios.
As well as the studio building at Louise House, the old laundry building to the rear, consisting of a Community Studio and large gallery space, will also be open to the public. After extensive refurbishment, this has recently been reopened as a community art centre.
With support from the Arts Council England, the Mayor of London, HTA Design and Kingston Landscape Group, V22 has also relandscaped the front and rear gardens. The front landscaping incorporates Louise House and the Forest Hill Library and the rear garden has been made into a Community Garden.
There will be hourly tours throughout the day from 10am-4pm (with the exception of 1pm when there will no tour).
We hope you will be able to join us to see and celebrate Louise House.
Anyone under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
