Juggernauts Seeking Transparency
Sunday 23 July 2017, 2.30–5pm V22 Louise House
Duchamp said ‘Art-making is about making the invisible visible’.
Transparency implies openness of communication, the difference between the ordinary surface of things and what lies beneath.
Join a group of artists as they focus on the theme of 'transparency' as part of their July peer-mentoring meeting. This will form the start of a peer-led group show, on the chosen theme of transparency. Each artist will project up to three images of work in relation to this theme, together with a narrative of the suggested works.
Members of the public are welcome to observe, participate, take part, discuss and ask questions throughout the meeting.
Anyone under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.
The Juggernauts are a group of 14 artists who share the same common feeling of struggle on driving a large beast of a vehicle toward a specific trajectory. The Juggernauts formed a peer mentoring group in London and meet once a month, to discuss work in progress, share positive feedback, and are working towards a group exhibition at the end of November as a closure to the peer mentoring meetings.
