Jacob Farrell (b. 1987) is an artist based in London, UK working with text, pictures and objects. His work often employs anachronistic material processes alongside forms of fictional writing, and reflects on the relationship between language and matter as analogous to conscious and unconscious states. Recent exhibitions and projects include Yonatan Vinitsky’s The Middle of the World, Empire Books, contributing text (2017); 410AD, Chadwell Award Supported by Bow Arts Trust, London (2016); Poison Symposium and Cold Room Project, Earth Science Laboratories, Rock Room Museum, UCL, London (2016-17); Surmoulage, Watch It Gallery, London (2015); T Rooms, Tramway, Glasgow, collaboration with Matthew Darbyshire (2012). In 2014, Farrell was an Artist in Residence in William Morris’s Red House as part of a project curated by Melanie Jackson and Kieren Reid.
